Overview
Clawster is a free, open-source AI desktop pet for macOS. We respect your privacy and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what data we collect through the Clawster website (clawster.pet) and the Clawster desktop application.
Website (clawster.pet)
Email address: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it solely to send you Clawster updates, new features, and release notes. We do not sell, share, or rent your email to third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
No tracking cookies: We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this website.
Desktop Application
Local data: Your conversations, memories, preferences, personality files, and screenshots are stored locally on your machine in the ~/.clawster/ directory. They are never uploaded to our servers.
Cloud conversation: When you chat with Clawster, your messages are sent to a cloud AI service for generating responses. These messages are not stored permanently and are not used to train AI models.
Local tool calls: Tool classification (opening apps, running commands, setting timers) is handled by a local model on your device. No data leaves your machine for these actions.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since the only data we collect via the website is your email address (if subscribed), you can request deletion by emailing us. All desktop application data is on your machine — you can delete it at any time.
